My Mama!

Gentle reader,

Remember how I told you in my last post that I was writing an article for JustB about my Ma? Well, it’s been published now, and you can read it here!

I’m super stoked; I’ll be honest, I’m so excited to show off my Ma in public because she’s pretty amazing. It was harder to write than I thought though. Firstly, I hadn’t written to a word limit since college, and because there are SO many things I could have shared about her that it was hard to chose just the right ones and weave them together. But, I’m pretty pleased with the result and – most importantly – Mama loved it too. ^_~

Ma and Me at GoMA in Brisbane. Look how cute she is! Like a button.

Hopefully I’ll get to write more for JustB, because they’re properly fantastic. You should definitely go and show them some love.

What do you have planned for Mother’s Day?

  1. I wish I could give your Mama a gigantic hug!!! I have always thought she must be magic because you are so full of magic. What a beautiful picture. Love you!!!!!

    1. That was a good day! We went to see Picasso’s art collection at the Gallery of Modern Art. She’s a darling. Any shortcomings are my own fault. Hehe. I’m sure your lovely daughters could write an equally lovely piece about YOU! <3

    1. Poor puppy! Why can’t we be triplets? The more the merrier! Haha! I do love that we share a nickname. We’re pretty much the most adorable people ever, yeah?

  2. Ah this post has warmed the cockles of my heart. Your mother is a gem…and a fine wordsmith for all of those gorgeous pet names! I loved this story – everyone has a special mother… and I am blessed to have had two in my life. My mother who gave me life and my mother who raised me. I lost my Mum when I was 18…and am especially lucky in recent years to reunite and become close to my birthmother. My wish is to be the best mother I can be to my own two children and take rolemodels and love from these amazing women who have been a part of my life. I think you have done something similar Raynor and your words are completely and utterly heartfelt. :)
